Guide to organising a large group

Practical articles to help you organise the stay: what to buy, how to share out tasks and what to bear in mind with a group of 12 to 16 people.

What each guide solves

Organising a weekend for sixteen people has little to do with booking a break for two: bedrooms have to be shared out, someone has to cook, the shopping has to be worked out and everyone has to agree on the Saturday plan. These guides explain how the groups who have already stayed here solve it. There is an hour-by-hour account of a full weekend, one for company retreats with wifi and invoicing, one on what to bring and what is already in the house, and the seasonal ones: the estate in winter, with its fireplace and wood-fired oven, what to do with children, and how to come with a dog. The Puy du Fou guide covers schedules, tickets and the cost per person compared with the park hotels. They are written from the house, with checked figures, and can be read before booking or the week before you arrive.
