What to do near Finca La Simona
Toledo, Talavera, Puy du Fou, the Barrancas de Burujón at sunset, the Cazalegas reservoir or a day forging a knife. With real distances and times from the estate, in Los Cerralbos.
How to choose an outing depending on the time you have
These are the outings the groups who stay here actually make, with real driving distances and times measured from the estate, not the ones that usually appear in listings. Some fill a spare hour between the pool and lunch, like Malpica castle ten minutes away or the Cazalegas reservoir at fifteen; some a morning, like Talavera de la Reina and its ceramics; and some a whole day, like Toledo at thirty-five minutes, Puy du Fou España at forty or Cabañeros National Park at an hour and a half. And to end the day, the Barrancas de Burujón, a small Grand Canyon above the Tagus where you can watch the sunset. Each page explains what there is to see, how long it takes, where to park with a large group and whether the plan works with children or older relatives. If you are only going out once, start with Toledo; if you are staying three nights, pair one long outing with a short one.
