This guide gathers in one place the practical facts needed to plan a visit to Puy du Fou España from Finca La Simona, instead of relying on whatever each individual listing says. We start with the most important one: the real drive time.
How long it really takes
Puy du Fou España is 40 minutes from the estate, about 60 km by road, right next to Toledo. It is not the 30 minutes sometimes claimed in local listings: we have checked it by road and always use this same figure, here and across the rest of the website.
The scenic route: via La Puebla de Montalbán, the Barrancas and Malpica
If you're not watching the clock, skip the fast road and take the CM-4001 local road, a lovely drive through olive groves and the Tagus valley. It passes through La Puebla de Montalbán and, halfway along, it's worth the detour to the Barrancas de Burujón, a small Grand Canyon above the Castrejón reservoir that looks its best at sunset, so it fits better on the way back from the park on days without the night show. Ten minutes from the estate, Malpica de Tajo castle is the natural first stop on the route. With the detours, allow a good hour instead of 40 minutes.
Where to buy tickets
- Directly on the official Puy du Fou España website, with an availability calendar and current prices.
- For large groups, the park has a group booking department with specific conditions; contact them directly.
- We do not sell tickets ourselves or include them with the accommodation: they are always handled by the park.
Calendar and the night show
The park runs seasonally, with the opening calendar published each year on its official website. The night show, one of the park's biggest draws, runs mainly between May and September. Outside those dates the park closes earlier, which in practice makes it easier to get back to the estate for a relaxed dinner.
Cost per person: an honest comparison
Puy du Fou's official partner hotels, all within 25 minutes of the park, publish rates of between €68 and €175 per person and night. At Finca La Simona, a group of 12 pays €50 per person and night at the weekend (€45 on weekdays), with the whole house and your own kitchen if you want to use it. The difference is a 15-minute-longer drive in exchange for a substantial saving per person, and sleeping all together instead of split across several hotel rooms.

Fitting it around your estate booking
The recommended order is to fix your ticket dates on the official website first, then book the estate, or at least confirm both almost at the same time: the park's highest-demand weekends (Easter, summer, Christmas) coincide with the estate's highest-demand weekends, and there is no point holding tickets for a day when the house is already booked by another group. With two nights booked with some margin, there is plenty of time for a full park day and a rest day at the estate.
