From June to September the plan at Finca La Simona is simple: salt-water pool in the morning, a long lunch on the shaded terrace, and sunset among the olive trees with the Sierra de San Vicente in the background. The pool is seasonal and reserved exclusively for the group staying, with no sharing a slot with anyone else.

A summer day
- Morning. Pool time and a relaxed breakfast on the terrace, no rush to go anywhere.
- Midday. A long lunch with barbecue or catering, in the shade of the terraces.
- Afternoon. A nap, more pool time, or a short trip to Cazalegas or the Sierra de San Vicente.
- Sunset. The best hour of the day among the olive trees, as the house changes color.
- Evening. Dinner in the garden or dining room, windows open once the heat has dropped.
The price of a full week
In June, July and August the estate is booked by full weeks, Monday to Sunday: six nights with the pool just for you, and no packing up halfway through. The whole house for up to 12 guests is €3,000 in July and August and €2,900 in June, with the pool and the olive grove for the group. In September, two-night weekends are back.

A pool just for you
The salt-water pool isn't shared with other guests or a spa crowd: it's the house pool, inside a private estate, with no need to reserve a lounger or get up early to grab a spot. With room for 16 people in and around the water, a large group can spend the whole morning there without feeling crowded, kids playing and adults chatting in the shade of the same terraces where lunch happens later.
If the group wants a day out
Summer at the estate doesn't force a choice between the pool and a day out. The Cazalegas reservoir, with a river beach, is 15 minutes away if you fancy a change of water one day; Toledo and Talavera de la Reina are close enough for a morning of sightseeing before heading back to lunch in the shade. For the rest of July and August, the house plan is hard to beat: pool, terrace and olive grove, with no agenda beyond hunger and the heat of the day.

Is the pool heated?
No, it is a seasonal salt-water pool, unheated, open from late May to mid-September depending on the weather.
Can we book a full week in summer?
Yes, and in June, July and August that is how it is booked: Monday to Sunday weeks, six nights, for €3,000 in July and August and €2,900 in June, the whole house for up to 12 guests. From the 13th to the 16th guest, each one adds an extra bed.
Is there a lifeguard at the pool?
No, the pool has no lifeguard: the group's adults are responsible for supervision, especially with children.
Does the house get very hot in summer?
No, there is air conditioning throughout the house, plus the pool and shaded terraces.
